i'm stuck listening to that indie-but-not-anymore rock
my RYM is a bit more indepth on what i really like https://rateyourmusic.com/~burgerblock but i have a bit of trouble keeping it up to date
i got absolutely no one, no one but myself to blame
i have a cheap hand-me-down spanish guitar which i am desperately trying to find the time to pracitice without anyone else hearing me. also have a cheapish 90s casio which just recently had its inport port break so i can't practice it in the time being. frown face emoji here. used to play the trumpet, want a wooden recorder, there's a pan flute hanging on the walls.
when i get things figured out and organized i'll be able to post covers for dozens of 14 year old teenagers or 40 year old men to fawn over.
i spend a lot of time in the car (not willing). it's gotten me into a habit of burning custom track albums onto CDs to play while traveling another 100 miles for a stupid errand so i don't have to go searching for another disc to put in while driving. i try to make them flow well and make sense with the album, not always sucessful with that. i only got a few, most of them modest mouse. i'm happy with little of them
this is probably my most favorite of my custom tracklists. the album doesn't have any particular story to tell (minus its overarching theme) and follows a pretty simple formula that other modest mouse albums do: 3-song stretch, filler song or two, some more longer songs, get more depressive towards the end, finsih the album. all the added tracks are from singles released before the album came out or on the Interstate 8 EP, which are just B-sides and demos from Long Drive, so it all fits together well. the hardest part of making it was figuring out where to put Sleepwalking.
barely anything added this time. just 2 singles released beforehand and a song first played live before the album was released but only recorded years later.
probably 2nd best of these. only one i really reorganized the original track list. i just didn't like how it flowed. just more singles released right before the album came out, plus one outlier.
i have a few more of these but the track list i made were so ass that i just listen to the original albums and listen to their accompanying singles and outtake songs on my computer. maybe i'll fix them up one day
